From the Management of I Can See My PC Is the Stream easy to use? Yes! If your main interest is listening to books, then you can't beat the ease of use of the Victor Reader Stream. The size, buttons, and navigation were well thought out and made quite convenient. The hardest part about using the Victor Stream is not the use of the Stream itself, but downloading books from the internet. There are exceptions, but generally speaking, you get your books for the Stream by downloading them from the internet. Therefore you have to be able to use your computer (and your screen reader if you are blind) and get online and download books. It's not that difficult once you've done it a few times. But, you have to have that skill or have somebody else download your books for you. Will I like my Stream? If you like to listen to audible books, then you will almost certainly love your Stream. When people buy ZoomText or most other access technology products, it's because they NEED them. But when people use their Stream, it's because they LOVE it. My wife said, if you are used to listening to the old tapes from your Talking Book Library, you will be spoiled once you hear the clear digital sound on the Stream. The quality of the sound is so crisp and clear. Honestly, the customer satisfaction rate for the Steam is absolutely phenomenal. People just love their Stream... and literally, "won't leave home without it". True story... A couple of years ago when our family (Pam, our two kids Riley and Shannon, and I) went on vacation, we had the Airport Van pick us up to take us to the airport. On the freeway, Pam discovered she had forgotten her Stream! Of course, the driver couldn't go back because another passenger couldn't be delayed. We barely had enough time and were concerned about missing our flight, but when we got to the airport we hired another round trip to our home and back again. Pam just couldn't go on vacation without having her Stream and books with her. We had one customer who's office assistant purchased a Stream for him. A couple months later his office assistant called me and told me her boss had gone to the beach and dropped his Stream in the ocean. She had another Stream shipped UPS Next Day Air Early AM! People love their Streams. |
